Introvert dan Extrovert

Assalamualaikum wbt & hai :)

Masa awal-awal masuk degree dulu, orang duk cakap-cakap pasal introvert-extrovert tapi tak paham apa benda la dua-dua tu.

Bila masuk clinical years baru start paham. I was first heard about it when i was in psychiatry posting. Masa tu ada lecture pasal personality-thingy.
Oh ya, ada satu lagi; ambivert. Yang ni combination of introvert & extrovert.

Then ada orang kenalkan dengan buku Susan Cain, The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking. However, tak habis-habis baca sampai sekarang 😆

Untuk sesiapa yang still tak tahu dia introvert or extrovert, boleh try buat personality test kat sini.
Atau nak tahu pasal revolution quiet people, boleh tengok website quietrev ni.

Nak tahu kenapa agak penting untuk kita tahu which personality?
It will affect your study and work environment later on. And at least kawan-kawan tahu awak jenis macam mana, so that diorang akan faham awak why you are like this and why you are like that.

But hey, you will be out of your comfort zone, and it helps to develop yourself for future career 😊

That's it.

I may not explaining in details about introvert and extrovert now. Later i will try to do a simple post about it, insyaAllah 😄

Assalamualaikum and enjoy your weekend.

Not a directly proportional equation.

Assalamualaikum wbt.

It's been a long time since my last post. Haha.

Currently, i am in my final year of medical school in north of Malaysia.
Please pray for me and my friends so that we will pass our final examination in one shot amin.

Last week, i had my long case assessment, for orthopaedics posting.

Not to say that i am a hardworking girl but i am trying to be. My groupmates (exceptional to few), are not that those who would stay up late in the night.
Unfortunately, i failed my assessment that day.

I realized one thing. Even i already knew about this, sometimes He wants to remind us again and again.
How hard you study, how late in the night you sleep, how tired you are, sometimes the result is not proportional to what you have done. No, i'm not saying that Allah is not fair. In fact, He is the Most Fair.

EFFORT ∝ 1/RESULT

Yes, this sound unfair. But it's a big NO!

What i've learn:
1. All that you want, you must  pray, ask from Him. However, not all that you asked for will be granted right away, there is few conditions (i'll tell in other post). On top of that, you still have to make your effort towards it because it is an evident that you are the creature of Him. You need His help in everything you want. Even, a simple thing like sneezing. If He does not grant you to expel out whatever irritating you, you will not sneeze.

2. Do not being too comfortable with what you have done. You think it is enough but no.

So, it is such a very big significant (you name it) lesson that i have learnt. Please pray for me, i will have my second attempt of long case assessment this coming Monday (28 Nov 2016). I want to do my best and pass.

Thank you for those who have been supporting me especially my mother. She is a so patience mother and never being doubtful in me. She always said that i can do this, i can do that. Thank you mom for believing me :)

Thank you for reading.
Have a bless Jumaah :)

Don't forget Kahfi :D

Ageing Malaysia?

Today we will talk something more on scientific and facts.

Last Monday (17 Jan 2016), I just participated in a seminar. They were discussing the ageing issue, that was estimated to happen to Malaysia in the year 2035 *sweating*

Title: Media Roundtable on Ageing. "Age inclusiveness and Supportive Environments."

They decided to organize this seminar to spread it to the public by the help of the media. by the way, this is the second seminar done, after year 2005.
According to the Older Malaysian Population statistics (by ethnicity) from year 1980 to 2040, they estimated that by the year 2035, 15% of Malaysian population are older people. In Malaysia, the older citizen are those who aged 60 years old above (or after pension). [Source from DSM, 2001; 2011; 2012]
This statistics were presented by the Director of Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing, Prof. DR. Tengku Aizan Hamid.

Besides, she also emphasizing the relation between percentage of older (65+) population vs GNI per capita between the ASEAN countries. Brunei is the country that has highest GNI per capita but having lowest percentage of older population. In simple words, Brunei has the highest resources to help developing the facilities and services for their older citizens BUT they have small number of ageing population. While Malaysia, ranked at the middle, with quite low resources and having quite high number of aged people. This is from the year 2014.

In Malaysia, among all three major ethnicity (Malay, Chinese, Indian), Chinese people are those having long life expectancy: female 79.7 years old, male 75 years old. And among all states in Malaysia, Perak is the one that having highest percentage distribution of older people.
So, I think it answered why people are telling that Perak is a 'pencen' state. *wink*

From all the scientific statistics, it is important to have more than 2 children. Because, the 2 children will just replace their parents, which actually doesn't contribute to the growth & development of the country.
So, planned wisely :D

In addition, they also emphasized on the facilities & services offered for the older people in Malaysia. Of course, our facilities & services are not comparable to the Western countries. My sister, who are studying in UK once said, there, the bus also provided facility that can help disabled people to ride the bus easily. For example, they have this one system that can change the stairs of the bus (i'm not sure change the stairs or another thing that has flat surface and help the disable people to easily ride the bus). This surely very helpful.

They also invited representatives from few organisations such as Social & Welfare Department, KKM, Geriatricians and also NACSCOM to discuss and answered the questions from the media and also participants.
From the discussion, actually government has taken this issue seriously. There are policies been established. From the policies, quite many facilities & services have been provided through JKM channel. They provide  shelter for those with no relative that can take care of them, including independent & dependent people. And other few facilities around Malaysia to help all those older population.

*****
From my observation of 4 years living in Ipoh, Perak..there are quite a number of older people here, especially Chinese.
For example, if we go to Bukit Kledang (famous hiking point), most of the visitors are Chinese people, i think maybe pensioners. And they really look healthy and fit! *oh gosh*
Like, they still can climb Bukit Kledang, which quite long route ( if i'm not mistaken about 10km). And if we go to Padang Polo, most uncles & aunties were older Chinese people, and they either jogging/brisk walking around or have taichi/dancing-thingy session. It is very amazing that they are all looks very fit even they (seriously) more than 60 years old.

In Ipoh, there are quite many run or marathon competition. And again, you can see quite big  number of these Chinese older people participating, especially men. Wah, sometimes I felt so ashamed meh -.-

*So long la this post. haha

So, as a conclusion, please take care of your health. In the future, we will become the older people(kalau panjang umur), replacing them. Treat them wisely, and one fine day, hopefully our children will take care of us too.

Let's make this a reality *yosh*

Novel Komsas Bahasa Melayu

Assalamualaikum :) :)

Banyak benda terlintas dekat kepala ni, tapi tu la..bila dah ada depan laptop, bukan boleh bukak blog dan terus menulis. bukak playlist dulu, tengok sana sini dulu. last-last tak ingat pun yang tadi nak bukak blog. haha -.-'

Sekarang dekat facebook, dah macam suggestion box yang dekat kaunter tu. kalau tak puas hati pa pe, drop je suggestion dalam box tu.
Kadang-kadang macam fed up jugak la orang duk kompelin sana sini.

SERIOUSLY!
Saya tahu sebab saya pun pernah jugak baca novel-novel cinta ni.

Sorry dear author, saya rasa tak sesuai nak letak ayat macam tu. Yela fine, budak-budak ni mesti belajar jugak dalam biologi macam mana flow of sperm-ovum-whatsoever tu, tapi please lah, tu biologi.

Bak kata Laksamana Hang Tuah, "Takkan melayu hilang di dunia."

Sangat lah tak sesuai nak ajar student sekolah menengah pastu ada scene macam tu. Apa ni? Bagi saya, belajar bahasa melayu ni macam belajar nak mengaji Al-Quran. You have to watch your manner.

Bila kita membaca, especially novel/ cerita, we tend to imagine the scene, so that we can understand the feeling and the meaning behind the words.

As a conclusion, SERIOUS TALK, tak sesuai nak include kan novel macam ni untuk belajar kesusasteraan bahasa melayu.

Even saya tak ambil degree bahasa melayu, saya pun tahu untuk hargai kesusasteraan meayu kita.
